How it plays

Three simple rules

Each puzzle is a small quilt of coloured patches. You can learn it in a minute.

  1. One star in every row, column and patch

    Every row, every column and every patch of fabric needs exactly one star.

  2. Stars never touch

    Not even corner to corner. Tap a square once for a cross to rule it out, and twice for a star.

  3. Reason it through

    Every puzzle has one answer you can reason your way to. There’s no guessing and no timer pressure.

New to it? The game walks you through a small puzzle first, and a kind hint will always show you the next step.

The pictures

Every puzzle hides a picture

As you solve, the patches fall away to reveal a soft, painterly picture: bees in the lavender, a cat asleep by the fire, a robin in the snow. Each one you finish is kept in your picture album.

Sew a square every day

Finish the daily puzzle and a new square is sewn into your quilt. Keep going for a week and you earn a darning needle, which quietly mends a day you miss.
